About This Site & My Automotive Journey

In the late 90s, a group of high school friends and I all developed a taste for modifying cars—it began by modifying what we had with the skills that we had, but in each of us it morphed into a desire to learn more so we could do more. I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to pay for things (like this website that I learned to build myself), so I learned to build engines, tune cars, wire cars, rebuild transmissions, and more—some of which came through professional-level training via EFI University, ASE courses, and the autoshops that employed me. I quickly learned that these skills are separate but build on top of each other, and most of what I know has been poured into this site as well as my YouTube channel. I stress the fact that I'm not an expert—we're always learning—I've just minimized my mistakes over the years and learned from them. What you'll find here is years of experience, not only mine but also information I've gleaned from seasoned veterans I've known and worked with.
